What started as a quick Twine software test turned into… this.

How to Escape a Murderer is a comedy-horror, choice-driven, interactive fiction game where your survival depends on questionable decisions, random events, and pure chaos.

Your choices might not always make sense, but that's the fun of it. 

Can you escape The Murderer with your remaining family, or will you throw them at his knife to survive? Can you use the chaos to escape or just die a pointless death?

This game is a bit of a wild ride. I hope you enjoy the insanity!

NOTE: There is a death scream. I recommend turning down the volume to be safe!

Install instructions

This game is played in a web browser. It was tested with Chrome, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Not tested for Mac or Linux, but it should work fine.

NOTE: There are some sound files used in this game; they are NOT part of the download. The game accesses them from Podbean (a podcast website with a media manager) and not your computer.

The download is one HTML file.
